The zoom level to reveal secondary street names is 500’, when looking to drag a route at that level the route is many times not visible. When a stop is added the program does a great job of placing them in order. Also note I route 98% of my riding on a laptop to send to the GPS. I am familiar with TomTom’s route planning software, I have had two of their GPS units for 6 years, I am by no means an expert nor is it my go to program for routing. These are my preliminary (keyword) thoughts on the TomTom Routing program and the TomTom Go Mobile app on my Galaxy S9 for the way I prefer to ride and navigate. I want to thank everyone for answering my questions and being patient as I sort through this app. Plus, when the screen is off most of the time it draws your attention when it turns on and there is less chance of missing a turn. A few days, in fact, on a single charge with a good battery phone. With this option on you can ride all day with a minimal battery drain. The only benefit of having a connection between the track and the underlying map is that then the app knows there is an actual turn coming (instead of a sharp curve) and some apps have an option to automatically tun the screen off between turns and then turn it back on a s pre-set time before the next turn. Ultimately, I have decided for myself that it is much less complicated to simply follow a track as I don't need turn by turn guidance on my bike anyway. data that is not available when you draw the route in BC. Apparently, it is impossible to have sensible guidance along a track as it has no connection whatsoever to the underlying map data. Then it would have been quite obvious if you are following a track or a newly calculated route. It would have ben much better if tracks were red and routes - blue, for exemple. Obviously, you can't notice it if the route and the track are not both displayed at the same time. You can see the difference in colour if the starting point of the track is not where you are and the app/device has to calculate the route to it - it is clearly visible where the route ends and the track starts. The MyDr track is slightly darker colour than the route calculated in app/device. I suppose the map versions have to be same on both MyDr and app/device. It takes into accouts the shaping point used in MyDrive, so most of the time the route calculated in the app.device should match the MyDrive route.
